To provide the best available educational resources to the students in the villages of Punjab Gyan Sewa Trust engages the best available faculty from Delhi, who has experience of coaching in the top most schools of Delhi and other cities. The project was inaugurated on Baisakhi day i.e. 14th April 2006 at village Khadoor Shaheb, the city where Guru Angad Dev Ji started the first school.
Since April 2006 every week end on Saturday and Sunday the teachers from Delhi go to the village and teach the students of class 11th and 12th at Baba Gurbaksh Singh Uttam Singh School being managed by Sant Baba Sewa Singh Ji of kar Sewa.
The second centre was inaugurated in April 2006 at village Bhadaur District Sangrur. But due to the problems faced from the local teachers the centre had to be shifted at 10 KMs away in village Tallewal. Up to December 2006 the teachers from Delhi visited regularly every weekend to teach the students. However, in December 2006 after completing the syllabus this centre was discontinued due to various problems faced with managing this centre.
In December 2006 at the initiative of Deputy Commissioner of Nawan Shaher, Mr. Krishan Kumar, a center was started at Nawan Shaher.
Mr. Krishan Kumar Deputy Commissioner chose the talented students from all the Government schools of the District and every Saturday and Sunday these students came to Nawan Shaher and teachers go from Delhi to teach them. The results of this centre have been excellent. In the opinion of our Delhi faculty in three months time the level of students of this centre can be matched with that of any other batch of Delhi.
Gyan Sewa Trust proposes to follow this model or Nawal Shaher to open a centre in each District of Punjab.
